The working title for the Basel sofa, “house wine”, aptly describes this understated and quietly elegant sofa. It is a truly versatile piece with clean contours and top-notch comfort.
Like a house wine, the Basel sofa strikes a great balance between quality and price. Its designers wanted to keep their product accessible to a wide range of customers. The sofa’s beautiful, simple details are the hallmarks of timeless and versatile furniture.
But the real magic of the Basel is in its legs: the graceful metal legs have been finished with a combination of matte and gloss surfaces, so that the legs mirror the surface below them and the sofa appears to float.
The Basel sofa is upholstered in a textured and durable Baronett bouclé fabric. The soft-feeling bouclé fabric is woven from smooth-surfaced polyester yarns.

The sofa's frame is made of plywood and solid wood with zig-zag springs. The outer surface of the frame is padded with foam and covered with wadding. Black metal legs.
